Piolo Pascual Biography


Piolo Pascual, Piolo Jose Nonato Pascual in real life, was born on January 12, 1977 to Filipino mother and a German-Spanish father. He has a son named Iñigo from his former girlfriend.

Piolo Pascual's acting career started in University of Santo Tomas when, as a Physical Therapy student, he joined the theatetrical group "Teatro Tomasino".

His first TV appearance is in Kuya Germ's "That's Entertainment". He also appeared in ABS-CBN's educational show ATBP as Kuya Miguel. His first big break in TV is "Sa Sandaling Kailangan mo Ako" where he received an Asian TV Awards Best Drama Actor nomination.

Piolo's first big movie break was the title role in "Lagarista" where he received his first Gawad Urian nomination for Best Actor. This movie was also exhibited in the toronto, Pusan and Hongkong Film festivals.

In 2009, Piolo started the year with the movie "Love Me Again (Land Down Under)" opposite Angel Locsin. They had a location shoot from the beautiful ranches of Bukidnon to as far as Australia. The movie was a box office hit and received positive reviews from movie critics.

Piolo and is also slated to be paired with KC Concepcion for the Philippine remake of the koreanovela "Lovers In Paris". A movie with KC is also lined up for them with a tentative working title "The Man I Loved" which is scheduled to hit the big screen in the middle of 2009.

Dreamboy


Dreamboy is a 2005 romance film starring Piolo Pascual and Bea Alonzo. The film was released under Star Cinema and was directed by Gilbert Perez.

Story
Cyd (Bea Alonzo) is a hopeless romantic who dreams of meeting her "Mr. Dreamboy". She works as a salesgirl at a supermarket and spends her spare time reading romantic novels.

One day she meets Philip (Piolo), the arrogant and handsome person who owns the store that she works in. Cyd thought that he was her true love but was confronted by not belonging in his glamorous world.

From out of nowhere Cyd meets Eboy (Piolo) who saved her from a snatch-thief and has an uncanny resemblance to Philip. Cyd starts falling for him but felt betrayed upon learning his past.
While trying to erase Philip and Eboy from her memory, Cyd meets Jaime (Piolo), who also looks like Philip. Again Cyd starts to fall in love with her dreamboy.

Cyd thinks that she's finally found her one true love, but one day she finds out everything was just a set-up. He explains everything to her and tells her that he really loved her the whole time.

She forgives him, and the movie ends on that note.

Milan


Milan is a 2004 romantic film released under Star Cinema, ABS-CBN film productions, in the Philippines. It stars Claudine Barretto and Piolo Pascual. It's a love story written by Raymond Lee, and under Olivia Lamasan's direction.

Synopsis
This story follows the journey of naive Lino (Piolo Pascual) as he searches for his missing wife in Italy. He comes across Jenny (Claudine Barretto), an imposing figure in the Filipino community of migrant workers, whose dreams of grandeur have clouded her need for personal relationships. In a desperate quest for and game of survival, the two find refuge and affirmation in each other.

What started as a mentor – protégé relationship, Lino and Jenny’s partnership evolves beautifully into a self-consuming love affair. Until these are put to a test. Reality bites as the land changes everything.

In the end, it matters not that Lino finds his wife for he has found himself. And alas, it matters not for Jenny that she sacrifices for love, for she has learned to give, in order to live again.
